In Bogota, Colombia, Cataleya's father, Fabio, is having a meeting with Don Luis, a drug lord, to pay off his remaining debt and leave his employment. Fabio, however, knows that Don Luis will put a hit out on him for leaving with a valuable item that he holds and Don Luis wants. Fabio rushes home and warns Alicia, his wife, that Marcos, Don Luis's capo, is coming after them.
While Alicia packs, Fabio hands Cataleya a business card, which should give her entry to the U.S. embassy, in case she finds herself alone. Fabio hands Catleya the item that Don Luis wants, telling her not to lose it and to give it to the Ambassador so that she can get a U.S. passport. He also gives Cataleya the address of her uncle in Chicago, who will take care of her. He tells her to "Never forget where you (she) came from." Marcos and his thugs arrive at Fabio's residence. Fabio, Alicia, and Cataleya try to escape, but the house is surrounded. Fabio and Alicia have Cataleya sit at the kitchen table and not move no matter what. Cataleya witnesses both her parents being gunned down.
Marcos locates Cataleya and tells her that he's a good man and he killed her father because he betrayed Don Luis. Marcos knows that Cataleya knows the whereabouts of the unknown item and says Don Luis will give her whatever she wants if she gets him what he wants. Cataleya stabs Marcos in the hand with a kitchen knife and escapes her house. She runs through the streets of Bogota, pursued by thugs from all directions, and is able to slip away by hiding inside a water sewer. She then uses the business card her father gave her and goes to the Ambassador's office. Cataleya vomits out onto the Ambassador's desk the valuable information Marcos was looking for, which she swallowed while she was sitting at the kitchen table in her house. In exchange for this, they give her a passport, and she takes the first flight to America. At the airport, Department of Social Services guides Cataleya. Cataleya pretends to want to use the bathroom and escapes to take a bus to her uncle, Emilio, in Chicago. The next day, Cataleya and Emilio talk about Cataleya's dreams. Cattleya had at first wanted to be a designer or artist, but, because of her parents' death, Cataleya presents a strange request to Emilio: she wants him to help her become a killer. Theseus' mother conceived him after being raped, and he is thus considered a bastard and prevented from evacuating the village with its other inhabitants by the soldier Lysander (Joseph Morgan). Theseus defeats him in combat, which he was taught by an old man (John Hurt), and Lysander is discharged by his commanding officer. Infuriated, he offers his services to Hyperion.

The old man is actually Zeus (Luke Evans) in disguise. He meets with Ares, Poseidon (Kellan Lutz), Athena (Isabel Lucas), Apollo (Corey Sevier) and Heracles (Steve Byers), and they discuss the fact that they can't directly interfere with the conflict, only provide the humans the ways to win the battle by themselves. The film opens with a vampire (Colin Farrell) systematically stalking and killing an entire family in a suburb of Las Vegas, Nevada. The film then focuses on Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin), a teenager who discovers that a new neighbor has moved in next door to him. Charley is an average teen, who has recently been accepted as one of the 'cool' kids after a nerdy adolescence. Upon arriving at school, Charley's former friend, "Evil" Ed Lee (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), informs him that many fellow students have gone missing. Charley disregards this, but Ed blackmails him into coming to an old friend's house, the same house seen at the beginning, to check if he is alright.

When Charley goes home after school, his mother (Toni Collette) introduces him to Jerry Dandrige, their new neighbor. Charley eventually remembers to meet up with Ed, who informs him that Jerry is a vampire. Charley becomes fed up with Ed and leaves. On his way home, Ed is harassed by a bully (Dave Franco). He manages to escape but is confronted by Jerry, who bites him. The next day, Charley realizes that Ed is missing and decides to go to his house to investigate.

As Jerry begins to attack more people throughout the neighborhood, Charley sneaks into Jerry's house and finds out that he keeps his victims in secret rooms. Charley manages to free one of his victims, but she burns the moment she steps into the sunlight during their escape. Charley goes to Vegas magician Peter Vincent (David Tennant), a supposed expert on vampires. Tyler Doherty (Tanner Maguire) is an 8 year-old suffering from cancer, and with a love for writing and sending letters to God. His local postman, Walter Finley, takes them to his office after work. His boss sees them and instructs Walter to take care of them. Later Mr. Finley goes on an extended vacation, causing an alcoholic named Brady McDaniels (Jeffrey Johnson) to replace him temporarily. Brady is a regular at the "Bar and Grill" and close to the bartender, Jack. On his first day of work, Brady is bitten by Mrs. Baker's dog, and is confused by the "Letters to God" that he picks up from the Doherty house. That same day Tyler returns to school after two months of brain tumour surgery, MRIs and radiation. The Doherty family has been through a lot; in addition to Tyler's cancer, they have also lost Patrick Doherty, Tyler's father. Tyler's first day of school starts off with Alex, who bullies Tyler for being bald and having little eyebrows. Tyler's friend Samantha Perryfield, pushes Alex's face in his mashed potatoes, causing them to be sent to the principal's office. Tyler sends more letters to God, with Brady picking them up each day. Brady initially wanted to give them to a church, but the pastor says that Brady should keep them. Brady reads some of them, and they inspire him to be a better person. Brady develops a close relationship to the Dohertys. Mrs. Doherty gets close to Brady, and later reads Tyler's brother, Ben's, letter that inspires her to be a better mother. Ben makes Tyler and his mom think he is arrogant and selfish like a normal teenager. Tyler tells Sam that he wants Alex to know that he is not mad at him. Alex figures out Tyler's love of soccer and gets an idea of giving a soccer ball with "Get Well" on it. Brady, Alex and Sam visit Tyler at the hospital. Later, Tyler finishes getting chemotherapy and is released. The nurses remind Mrs. Doherty that Tyler's body is not very fit yet. Dave, Tyler's soccer coach, askes Tyler to play in a match. In the middle of it, Brady encourages Tyler play goalkeeper. Tyler faints at the end of the game and is taken to the hospital. Brady is angrily blamed by Mrs. Doherty for encouraging Tyler to play, but later apologizes. It was shown later that Brady had been in jail for DUI, and that his son, Justin, was taken away from him by his wife. He turns away from his old life, and throws away his bottles of whiskey. In 1982, paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is recruited by scientists Dr. Sander Halvorson (Ulrich Thomsen) and his assistant Adam Finch (Eric Christian Olsen) to join a Norwegian scientific team that has stumbled across a crashed extraterrestrial spaceship buried beneath the ice of Antarctica. They discover the frozen corpse of a creature that seems to have died in the crash 100,000 years ago.

After the creature is transported back to base in a block of ice, Dr. Sander orders them to retrieve a tissue sample, against Kate's protests. Later, while the others celebrate, co-pilot Derek (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) sees the Thing escape from the block of ice. The team splits up into groups to search for the alien. Two Norwegians, Olav (Jan Gunnar Røise) and Henrik (Jo Adrian Haavind) discover it hiding under one of the buildings. The Thing suddenly grabs Henrik by impaling a tentacle through his chest and pulls him into its body. The others converge on the scene and set the creature on fire. In the chaotic aftermath, the lone dog of the team is found dead in a bloody heap in its kennel, a massive hole torn in the wire mesh.

During an autopsy, Kate and Adam discover that the cells of the Thing appear to be absorbing and imitating Henrik's cells. Meanwhile, Derek, pilot Sam Carter (Joel Edgerton), Griggs (Paul Braunstein), and a sick Olav prepare to leave the base in the only helicopter to send Olav for medical treatment and bring back help. Just as they prepare to take off, Kate discovers bloody, discarded metal tooth fillings and large amounts of blood in the shower. She runs outside to flag down the departing helicopter, fearing the Thing may have imitated someone on board. When Carter decides to land, Griggs transforms and kills Olav, causing the helicopter to spin wildly out of control and crash in the mountains, presumably killing all onboard. Kate later returns to the showers only to find that someone has cleaned up all the blood.

In the recreation room, Kate tells the rest her hypothesis on the nature of the creature: It is perfectly capable of imitating any life form and that it may have done so with members of their camp, but cannot imitate inorganic material such as metal, hence why it spit out the tooth fillings. Most of the team members either do not believe her or accuse her of turning them against each other out of paranoia. They decide to head for the nearest camp for help. After everyone else leaves the room, Juliette (Kim Bubbs) tells Kate that she believes her and that she saw Colin (Jonathan Lloyd Walker) leave the shower holding a towel. Juliette tells Kate that she knows where they keep the vehicle keys, and that they can take them to prevent anyone else from leaving. However, when the two go to retrieve them, Juliette transforms and attempts to kill Kate. Kate escapes, running past Karl (Carsten Bjørnlund), who is killed by the Juliette-Thing. In 1966, Mossad agent Rachel Singer (Jessica Chastain) arrives in East Berlin to meet with fellow agents David Peretz (Sam Worthington) and Stefan Gold (Marton Csokas). Their mission is to capture Nazi war criminal Dieter Vogel (Jesper Christensen) – infamously known as "The Surgeon of Birkenau" for his horrific pseudo-medical experiments on Jews during World War II – and bring him to Israel to face justice.

Rachel and David present themselves as an ethnic German married couple from Argentina and Rachel plants herself as a patient at Vogel's obstetrics and gynaecology clinic. Both Stefan and David develop an attraction to Rachel, and Stefan reveals to her that David lost his entire family in The Holocaust. At her third appointment, Rachel injects Vogel with a sedative during an examination and induces the nurse (Vogel's wife) to believe Vogel suffered a heart attack. Stefan and David arrive dressed as ambulance crew and make off with the unconscious Vogel in an ambulance, barely ahead of the real ambulance team. Under cover of night, the trio attempt their exfiltration at Wollankstraße Station, on a rail line along the sector boundary between East and West Berlin, and next to a mail depot. However, as they prepare to load Vogel onto the train, Vogel suddenly awakens and sounds the horn of the stolen mail truck where he was being held, alerting East German guards to their presence. In the ensuing shootout, David sacrifices his chance to escape in order to collect a compromised Rachel, leaving the agents with no choice but to bring Vogel to their apartment and plan a new extraction.

The agents take turns monitoring Vogel, who attempts to psychologically humiliate and intimidate them. During Rachel's watch, Vogel manages to loosen his binds and ambushes Rachel with a shard from a broken plate, leaving her with a permanent scar on her face. He escapes into the night as the agents are left to assess their failure. Panicked and hoping to save face for both himself and for Israel, Stefan convinces Rachel and David to go along with the fiction that Vogel was killed. Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a young man who has a girlfriend, Rachael (Bryce Dallas Howard), despite Adam's best friend and co-worker Kyle's (Seth Rogen) disliking her. One day, Adam decides to see a doctor because of back pains and discovers that he actually has a rare type of cancer and must undergo chemotherapy in order to reduce the tumor. The doctor gives Adam the phone number of a hospital therapist in case he needs someone to talk to.

Adam tells Rachael about the cancer and tells her that he won't mind if she prefers to leave him. She says she'll stay by his side. However, she eventually starts to display growing signs of detachment to him. Adam also tells his mother Diane (Anjelica Huston), who is also taking care of Adam's father, Richard (Serge Houde), who has Alzheimer's disease; and Kyle, who worries for his friend's survival.

Adam starts seeing an inexperienced psychologist, Katherine "Katie" McCay (Anna Kendrick), who helps him deal with his problems. He also befriends Alan (Philip Baker Hall) and Mitch (Matt Frewer), two older chemo patients receiving treatment alongside him, and grows fond of Skeletor, an old dog which Rachael rescued from the pound.

Kyle starts using Adam's illness to get dates, which annoys Adam. On one of these dates, he sees Rachael kissing another man and takes a picture of her affair on his cellphone, which he immediately shows to Adam. Frustrated at his friend's inability to stand up for himself, Kyle kicks Rachel out of the house.

The next day, Adam and Kyle go to a bar, where they meet two women. Adam has sex with one of them, but is unable to enjoy it due to his back pains. Adam and Kyle hang out with Alan and Mitch, and Adam becomes impressed with Mitch's loving relationship with his wife. Later on, Kyle urges Adam to use his cancer to get dates, but Adam doesn't want to do that. After a chemotherapy session, Adam encounters Katie who gives him a ride home, rather than waiting for a bus. This encounter results in the start of attraction between Adam and Katie. Bertemakan cinta di masa-masa SMA, Ada Apa dengan Cinta menampilkan Cinta (Dian Sastrowardoyo) sebagai seorang pelajar SMA. Ia langganan juara lomba puisi di sekolahnya yang rutin diadakan tiap tahun. Cerita berawal dari Alya (Ladya Cherill) yang tubuhnya memar karena kerap dipukuli sang ayah yang kerap cek-cok dengan ibunya. Alya adalah sahabat karib Cinta dengan teman-temannya yang lain. Seperti Carmen (Adinia Wirasti), Maura (Titi Kamal), dan Milly (Sissy Priscillia).

Di sekolah, juara lomba puisi tahun ini akan diumumkan. Seluruh siswa yakin Cinta yang akan menjadi juara. Namun justru pemenangnya tahun ini adalah Rangga (Nicholas Saputra). Karena Cinta dan teman-temannya adalah pengurus mading sekolah, ia akan mewawancarai Rangga. Namun Rangga adalah tipe laki-laki pendiam, penyendiri dan "dingin". Saat Cinta berbicara dengan Rangga, ia melihat buku yang dipegang Rangga (buku AKU karya Syumandjaya). Lalu Cinta memberinya surat dan membuat Rangga emosi. Dan tanpa disengaja bukunya terjatuh. Cinta segera memungutnya. Dan membawa pulang buku itu untuk dibaca.

Cinta mengembalikan buku tersebut saat Rangga kebingungan mencarinya. Rangga pun berterima kasih pada Cinta. Semenjak itu mereka menjadi dekat. Rangga mengajak Cinta ke Kwitang, tempat ia membeli buku lama. Saat di Kwitang, Cinta teringat akan janji menonton konser bersama teman-temannya. Ia pun meninggalkan Rangga untuk menonton konser.

Pada suatu malam Rangga dan Cinta kencan di sebuah kafe. Namun sebelum Cinta berangkat, Alya menelepon untuk memintanya ke rumah. Namun Cinta berbohong bahwa ia akan pergi ke rumah sakit. Akhirnya Cinta pergi bersama Rangga. Di sana Cinta menyanyikan lagu yang dibuat dari puisi Rangga. Saat Cinta pulang, mama Cinta akan pergi menjenguk Alya di rumah sakit karena mencoba bunuh diri. Cinta menjadi sangat menyesal.

Keesokan harinya, Rangga menyapa Cinta. Namun Cinta justru berkata ketus agar Rangga tidak mendekatinya lagi. Rangga pun sepakat bahwa ia akan menjauh dari Cinta. Saat di rumah sakit Cinta berterus-terang pada Alya bahwa ia berbohong dan Alya pun tahu bahwa Cinta kencan dengan Rangga. Cinta tidak tahu bahwa saat ia berkata jujur, teman-temannya yang lain ada dibelakangnya. Cinta juga meminta maaf kepada teman-temennya yang lain.

Rangga yang saat itu akan berencana pindah sekolah ke Amerika Serikat, mencoba menelepon Cinta untuk berpamitan. Namun Cinta justru tetap menjauh dari Rangga. Amélie Poulain (Audrey Tautou) is a young woman who had grown up isolated from other children. After the death of her mother and her father's subsequent withdrawal, she developed an unusually active imagination to ward away the feelings of loneliness. Now at the age of twenty-three, Amélie is a waitress at Café des 2 Moulins, a small café in Montmartre that is staffed and frequented by a collection of eccentrics. Having spurned romantic relationships following a few disappointing efforts, she finds contentment in simple pleasures and letting her imagination roam free.

On 31 August 1997, Amélie, shocked upon hearing the news of Princess Diana's death on television, drops a bottle cap that knocks into a bathroom wall tile and loosens it. Behind the tile, she finds an old metal box of childhood memorabilia hidden by a boy who lived in her apartment decades earlier. Fascinated by this find, she resolves to track down the now adult man who placed it there and return it to him, making a promise to herself in the process: if she finds him and it makes him happy, she will devote her life to help bring happiness to others.

Amélie meets her reclusive neighbour, Raymond Dufayel (Serge Merlin), a painter who continually repaints Luncheon of the Boating Party by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. He is known as 'the Glass Man' because of his brittle bone condition. With the help of him and others, she tracks down the former occupant and places the box in a phone booth, ringing the number as he passes to lure him there. Upon opening the box, the man, moved to tears, has an epiphany as long-forgotten childhood memories come flooding back. He then finds his way into the same bar as Amelie and vows to reconcile with his estranged family.
